Capoeira is a fantastic martial art to learn because of the variety of elements available.


If attending a Capoeira academy is not an option for you, there are several online training options. Although they cannot replace in-person instruction, they are a great way to learn many Capoeira movements and can supplement any training you are already doing at an academy.


A schedule that works for you is the best way to practice Capoeira at home. Also, you might find it beneficial to take an online class provided by a teacher. The following are a few topics that are not covered in online classes, such as how to improve your range of motion and strength training.

How to Get Started with Capoeira


Capoeira beginners should try to practise at least twice a week in an academy. You should also train at home three to four times per week for 20 to 35 minutes per day. These practise sessions don't have to be intense, but the extra volume in training will help you grow.


Most people underestimate the importance of at-home training. And it makes no difference whether you stretch, lift weights, or do Capoeira movements.

Movement will do wonders for your body and keep you from feeling stiff.
